blog:Kerwood fails to make trap final

Posted by admin on Sep 13, 2009 in sport

Britain’s Charlotte Kerwood failed to make the final of the women’s trap shooting in Beijing.

The double Commonwealth champion from Sussex did not recover after a poor first round and finished 16th in the 20-strong field.

A disappointed Kerwood, 21, said: “I tried my best and now I am going to take things from this performance.

“I thought I controlled my nerves and my scores didn’t show how well I shot. Sometimes it just goes like that.”

She added: “I’m going to have a little bit of a break then just work really hard for London 2012.”
